How to roam onto Singapore Mobile Networks

To log on to any mobile networks in Singapore, you be sure that you are carrying a GSM900/1800 supported mobile phone, or a 3G/3.5G (UMTS/HSPA) one in any case.

When you arrive in Singapore, just turn on your phone, go to Network Settings (wherever that is on your phone) and do a manual search. You should see any of the networks below
  • SingTel GSM 900 (SingTel, SingTel-SGP)
  • StarHub GSM 1800 (STARHUB, SGP 05, STARHUB-SGP)
  • MobileOne GSM 900/1800 (M1-GSM, M1-GSM-SGP, M1-3GSM)

Does it really matter which network you roam to? Hmm... not at all! Just put your phone to automatic if you are lazy doing all these =]

P.S. Do note that mobile operators do not support EDGE or CDMA.
